

Would I leave it for longer than 48 hours? Probably not but based on this experience I would think it would be safe. This is probably the only place I'd feel comfortable leaving a bike locked overnight in the Bay Area. Overall I'm very happy SFO has made this a viable option for travelers. Wish I was like 30 mins earlier so I could have got the last BART because I was not looking forward to climbing hills to get back home but I didn't have a choice at that point. Such a relief to see my bike right were I left it, undisturbed. I landed at midnight Sunday night, took the Airtrain and got a little lost in Garage G but finally found my way. I left some tools and misc stuff in my little bike bag and they were all there when I got back. There is a 24/7 security booth, a camera right above the racks and BART police/SFO admin are lurking around the area.

BART is the fast, easy, low-cost way to get from San Francisco International Airport or Oakland International Airport to San Francisco. Snaked down thru Tunnel Rd, Oyster Pt and locked up in Garage G under the Bart station. I had a 6am Saturday departure from SFO, I left my house in the Excelsior at 4am. I had a quick trip to LA this past weekend, due to a number of factors: not taking time away from work, ridiculous plane ticket prices, limited luggage, no BART available for my departure/arrival times and my pure hatred for Uber, I decided to go by bike.
